The first step was that if you talk to an old friend you will get help. They couldn;t talk to caspian so they didn't get help. They talked to an owl and he told them how the son of Caspian the Tenth, Caspian the Eleventh got lost. He took them to a place where there were many owls. They didn't let them go to Trumpkin the dwarf because he would have not let them go to find Caspian the Eleventh. They met someone called Puddleglum (Not a human) and they were supposed to go with him on their adventure.
